Funeral services will be held at Centenary United Methodist Church, Friday, April 1, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. for Virginia Blount Wynn, 85, who died Wednesday, March 30, 2011. in American Legion Hospital in Crowley.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne.

Surviving are two daughters, Karen Wynn of Rayne, and Sharen Wynn of Houston, TX; one son, Bill Wynn and wife, Mayme, of Rayne; three grandchildren, Billy Wynn and wife, Jessica, of Church Point, Joey Wynn of Rayne, and Andrew Wynn of Rayne; one great-grandchild, Lainey Wynn of Church Point; two brothers, Ellis Blount and wife, Linda, of Quitman and Nick Blount and wife. Amanda. of Wilmer, AL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Wynn; and parents, Alfred Blount and Minnie Brown Blount.

Mrs. Wynn originally came from Doyline, LA and has resided in Rayne since 1958. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, friend and never met a stranger. She was also an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her family.

Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne Thursday, March 31 2011, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday, April 1, 2011, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m..
