IOTA - Wedding vows will be exchanged between Xipei “Lucie” Lu and Tel Mitchel Rouse Friday, June 8, 2012 during an evening wedding ceremony at The Springs Ballroom located in Point Aux Loupe, near Iota. A reception will immediately follow.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jianhua Lu and Aizhen Meng of Shanghai, China. Tel and Lucie were classmates during his study abroad at Tongji University in Shanghai, through which he furthered his studies for his minor at LSU. In August 2010, Lucie enrolled in the master’s degree program in intercultural communication at the University of Pennsylvania, where she will graduate this May.

The prospective groom is the son of Roger and Delana B. Rouse of Morse. He is a graduate of Midland High School and will graduate this May from LSU with a bachelor’s degree in biological engineering and a minor in Chinese culture and commerce Magna Cum Laude. Afterward, Tel will pursue a Ph.D in chemical and biomolecular engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology this fall.

Tel is the grandson of Charlotte and Tony Suire of Crowley and the late Buford Boudreaux of Morse, Eldon and Daisy Rouse of Spencer, Iowa and Roy Roach of Joplin, Mo.
