Funeral services will be held at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday, April 7, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. for Winfred Thibodeaux, 71, who died Tuesday, April 5, 2011, in Southwest Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.

Interment will be in the Leger Cemetery, Rayne.

Surviving are two sons, Fredrick James Thibodeaux of Indian Bayou, and Anthony David Thibodeaux and wife, Phyllis, of Maurice; three sisters, Irene Mayfield of Rayne, Mable Himel of New Orleans, and Ruby Richard of Crowley,; six brothers, Julius Thibodeaux of Rayne, Loveless Thibodeaux of Rayne, August Thibodeaux of Duson, Oran Thibodeaux of Rayne, Cleveland Thibodeaux of Rayne, and Curtis Thibodeaux of Rayne.

He was preceded in death by special friend, Maureen Lagrange; parents, Cleveland Joseph Thibodeaux and Mable Monceaux Thibodeaux; and two brothers, Clifford Thibodeaux, and Walton Thibodeaux.

He was born Monday, December 18, 1939, in Lafayette Parish, son of the late Cleveland Joseph Thibodeaux and the late Mable Monceaux.

Friends were received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, Wednesday, April 6, 2011, 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, April 7, 2011, from 8:00 a.m. until the service.
