Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA.
Surviving is three daughters, Claudette Germano and husband Joe of Fort Myers Beach, FL, Yvette Petitjean and George Brown of Fort Myers, FL, Monique Benoit and husband Scott of Broussard, five cherished grandchildren, Renee Benoit, Vaughan Benoit, Daniel Benoit, Kate Benoit, Cameron Brown, one brother, Martin Petitjean II, one niece, Desiree Casey, one nephew, Martin Petitjean III all of Rayne.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Annette Christine Petitjean; parents, Winson J. Petitjean, Sr. and Henriette Bourgaux Petitjean; one sister, Jeanne Marie Petitjean; one niece, Seville Jeanne d'Arc Petitjean.
He was born Thursday, August 17, 1939 in Rayne, LA, son of the late Winson Jean Baptiste Petitjean,Sr. and the late Henrietta Bourgaux Petitjean.
Winson attened Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL. He spent much of his career managing the family farm in Rayne. Later he received his real estate license in Roger, AR. Most recently he worked in the computer technology department at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL.
A rosary will be recited on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 7:00 p.m..
Friends will be received Sunday, September 13, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday, September 14, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until services at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA.
