Rayne High was well represented during 5-3A All-Distriatc selections following the 2012 football season.

Wolves, who helped lead Rayne High to the regional round of the state playoffs, honored during All-District picks include:

1st Team Offense

Jalen Williams - senior running back;

Dannie Harmon - senior tight end;

Brennan McKnight - senior offensive lineman;

Clarence Leger - senior quarterback named as honored athlete.

1st Team Defense

Andrew Broussard - junior defensive lineman.

2nd Team Offense

Matt Dore - junior tight end;

Brennan Bourque - junior tight end;

Trent Duhon - junior running back

Ty Delahoussaye - junior place kicker.

In the district, Eunice’s Coach Paul Trosclair was selected Coach of the Year.

The Offensive Most Valuable Player was Eunice’s Trennon Trosclair.

Church Point’s Tedrick Citizen was named Defensive Most Valuable Player.

State football selections of local players will be revealed in the sports’ pages of next week’s edition of The Rayne Acadian-Tribune.
