Among the honorees introduced during the 2011 All-State Banquet hosted by the Louisiana Volleyball Coaches Association on Sunday, Jan. 23, at Drusilla Seafood Restaurant in Baton Rouge was Notre Dame’s Mayme Cook, who was awarded the Player of the Year Award for small schools. As a member of the State Champions Lady Pios Volleyball Team, Cook was named MVP of the state tournament and to the All-State Team. Mayme is the daughter of Robert and Karon Cook of Rayne.
