GOHS will have busy five days

CROWLEY – Starting tonight, the Grand Opera House of the South will host three events in five days as a part of their ongoing season.

The GOHS’s November shows feature a performance from Mark Nizer 3-D (a juggler and comedian), the U.S. Air Force Band of the West and Yu Wei (a dancer from China.

The shows begin tonight with Mark Nizer’s juggling and comedy act for children. Nizer performs a one-man show that has traveled around the world to thousands of venues, including The Kennedy Center and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, three times.

Tickets are still available for the show. Adult ticket prices vary from $10 to $17, pending location and children (ages 12 and under) have a price range of $7 to $13.

Sunday afternoon, the GOHS will host a special event at 2 p.m. The United States Air Force Band of the West from Lackland Air Force Base, Texas will perform a free concert. The group features over 40 musicians that have won the hearts of millions of musical lovers throughout the country with their verstile musical style. The event is free, but a ticket is needed to enter. Contact the opera house for more information.

Finally, on Tuesday, at 7 p.m., the GOHS’s performances will go international with a performance from Yu Wei. Wei is described as a prodigiously talented choreographer and dancer from China. She has performed throughout the U.S., including New York’s Manhattan Center and the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Wei’s dancing has been praised for its exquisite artistry and purity in its style.
