Tennis official

LAFAYETTE -- Services will be Tuesday for former tennis league official Barbara “Doody” Mury. She died Nov. 6 at age 73.

Mury served as a board member and president of the Tennis Association of Lafayette Ladies.

Survivors include her husband Arnold, a son and a daughter.

Arrangements are by Martin & Castille Downtown.

Methodist minister

YOUNGSVILLE -- Services will be Tuesday for Methodist minister the Rev. Ira Robinson. He died Nov. 7 at age 80.

Robinson served a number of churches in the Louisiana Methodist Conference, including Lafayette First and Asbury UMC.

Survivors include his wife Mary, a son and a daughter.

Arrangements are by Delhomme.

Cotton farmer

BATON ROUGE -- Services will be Tuesday for noted cotton farmer and banker Frederick Schneider III. He died Nov. 6 at age 74.

He was a cotton farmer in Lake Providence for 45 years before retiring and moving to Baton Rouge.

Schneider was instrumental in forming the Louisiana Cotton Producers Association and served on the boards of the National Cotton Council and Cotton Inc. He was on the board of First National Bank, Lake Providence.

In 1984, he was Cotton Farming Magazine’s Farmer of the Year. He was a founding board member of Briarfield Academy.

Survivors include his wife, Connie and six children.
