State Police said Greta Sliman, 73 of Kinder failed to yield at a stop sign at Green Oak Cemetery Road and the highway.
She drove into the path of a car driven by a 16-year-old, also of Kinder. That car struck Sliman's on the driver's side front door.
The teenager received moderate injuries.
Investigation continues.
