Branch - Funeral services will be held at a later date for Luther Joseph Bertrand, 78, who died Tuesday, December 21, 2010, in American Legion Hospital.

Surviving are son, Larry Bertrand and wife, Stephanie, of Branch; stepdaughter, Nora Reichard and husband, Michael, of Slidell; stepdaughter, Kathleen Thibodeaux and husband, Glenn, of Eugene, OR; 13 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Emily Bertrand; and his parents; Joseph Bertrand and Anna Mae Bellard Bertrand.

He was born Sunday, August 28, 1932; in Kaplan, son of the late Joseph Bertrand and the late Anna Mae Bellard.
