Wilma was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
She leaves behind a loving and grateful family including her son, Burt Cormier of Eunice; her daughter, Connie Cormier Diniz and husband, Paulo Steven of Baton Rouge; a sister, Theodora Faulk of Rayne. Also mourning her loss are her nieces and nephews including special nieces Bonnie Ardoin and Carolyn Prevost and special great niece Debbie Ardoin as well as many friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Wilma now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Burton Cormier and her parents, Joseph and Adele Nabers Heinen.
At the request of the family, visitation was held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, January 3 from 12 noon until 7 p.m. and will resume on Tuesday, January 4 from 8:30 a.m. until time of services. A Rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Monday evening.
Pallbearers carrying Wilma to her eternal resting place will be Joe, Jerry, Harry, Dave and Michael Heinen and Greg Faulk.
The family of Wilma would like to thank the loving caretakers of Heart of Hospice for making the final journey peaceful.
