Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Thursday, January 20, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. for John M. Thibodeaux, 76, who died Monday, January 17, 201,1 in American Legion Hospital in Crowley.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne.

Surviving are his wife, Dolores Gilbert Thibodeaux of Rayne; three sons, Ronnie H. Thibodeaux of Rayne, John A. Thibodeaux and wife, Marlene, of Rayne, and Murray P. Thibodeaux of Raynel two granddaughters, Natalie Thibodeaux of Lafayette, and Paige Thibodeaux of Rayne; one grandson, Alex Youens of Dallas, TX; three sisters, Patsy Kirkpatrick of Church Point, Judy Hebert and husband, Patrick, of Branch, and Lethia “Tottee” Doucet of Opelousas; and one brother, Archie Thibodeaux of Lafayette.

He was preceded in death by parents, Alphonse Thibodeaux and Pearl Richard Thibodeaux; two brothers, Carroll Thibodeaux and Kirney Thibodeaux; and two nephews, Rhett Thibodeaux and Clay Billeaudeaux.

He was born Tuesday, October 30, 1934, in Church Point, the son of the late Alphonse Thibodeaux and the late Pearl Richard.

Friends were received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday, January 19, 2011, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, January 20, 2011, from 8:00 a.m. until service.
