Highlighting the banquet will be the presentation of the R. L. Cline Sr. in memory of G. W. “Billy” Cline most valuable player award sponsored and presented by Mrs. JoAnn Humble.
Other awards include the Lether E. Frazar Outstanding Offensive Player, the Johnnie Caldarera Outstanding Defensive Player, the Voris King team captains, the W. T. Burton memorial, the Enos Derbonne Sportsmanship, the David Drez Comeback Player of the Year, the Jim Downing Senior Scholarship, the Tuff as a Boot and the Lifter of the Year.
A total of 71 letter awards will be presented.
Seniors to be honored are: Devin Holland, Bernardo Henry, Chris Royal, Jacob Bower, George Russell, Matt Polansky, Nick Toti, Drew Johnston, Geremy Pilate, Deron Minor, Mase Duge, Jordan Page, Damion Aultman, Tyler Fontenot, Marcus Bellow, Terrance Freeman, Corday Clark, Josh Ellison, Brandon Zanders and Anthony Schultz.
Junior lettermen are: Jace Peterson, Brandon Robinson, Darrell Jenkins, London Durham, Kentrell Butler, Blake Barousse, Jarron Jackson, Andre Anderson, Ben Bourgeois, Justin Breaux, Desmund Lighten, Miguel Gauthreaux, Zack Saucier, Mitchell Kimberling and Harold Turnage.
Sophomore letter winners are: Josh Lewis, Chris Raggett, Seth Thomas, Damion Dixon, Zack O’Quinn, Champlain Babin, Ford Smesny, Malcolm Bronson, Derek Boast, Joe Narcisse, Kegan Myers, Brett Koonce, Carson Chaisson, Tyler Harbourt, Jonathan Landry, Alec Savoie, Devionte Edmonson, Pat Williams and Eric LeBlanc.
Freshmen lettermen are: Marcus Wiltz, Cody Stroud, Shelby Hemenway, Reynaldo Young, Diontae Spencer, Terence Cahee, Eric Papion, Teran James, Ryan Bronson, Tyler Reed, Richard Buckland, Arinze Agada, William Ryckman, Wes Briscoe, Jereon McGilvery, Michael Ware and Chris Loveless.
Also to be recognized are letter winners in athletic training – Joseph Hebert, Tyler Horn, Andrea Leger, Jarryn Rosas, Jena Vincent and Rose Woodward – and those as student equipment managers – Damian Broussard, Mark Karish, David LeBlanc, Alex Onxley, Blake Sanner and Drew Smith.
The Cowboys compiled a 6-5 overall record during the 2010 season and finished in second place in the Southland Conference standings with a 5-2 mark.
