The single vehicle accident claimed one life.
According to the fatality crash notification issued by Troop I, vehicle one, a pickup truck, was traveling east on the I-10 exit ramp at milepost 72 and failed to negotiate a right curve. The vehicle ran off of the left side of the roadway, traveled through the grassy gore, and struck a tree where it came to rest. Driver one, Joel Gamble, was the only occupant in the vehicle.
Gamble, 41, of Conroe, Texas was pronounced dead at the scene.
