Worker’s comp overseer

CENTRAL -- Services were Monday for long-time Dept. of Labor official Sharon Theriot. She died Feb. 3 at age 62.

Theriot was the Department of Labor’s worker’s compensation fraud supervisor for 36 years.

Survivors include her husband, Ferdinand and a daughter.

Arrangements were by Greenoaks.

Long-time educator

SPRINGHILL -- Services were Monday for former Tangipahoa School Board member and educator Dr. Robert L. Frye. He died Feb. 4 at age 84.

Frye was a former Webster Parish principal who also worked at the State Dept of Education and Southeastern Louisiana University. He was once a candidate for La. Supt. of Education.

Survivors include his wife Bettye and four children.

Arrangements were by Bailey’s Mortuary.

Former LSU prof

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Services will be Feb. 11 for former LSU professor Dr. Robert Ward. He died Feb. 3 at age 63.

Ward was associate professor at the School of Library and Information Science at LSU.

Survivors include his wife Jan.

Arrangements are by J. Henry Stuhr Funeral Home.
