LAFAYETTE - Jessie Marie Fielder Hornsby died on Friday, March 4, 2011. She was born in Vicksburg, MS on October 25, 1923, but lived in Crowley for most of her life.

She was predeceased in death by her parents, Eustace Fielder, Sr. and Irene Cotton Fielder; her husband R.C. Hornsby; her brother Eustace Fielder, Jr.; her sister Frances Irene Fielder; her daughter Janice Marie Stocks; and her grandson Dustin Lane Hornsby.

She is survived by her brother Clovis Fielder of Vicksburg, MS; her son Marshall Hornsby of Sulphur; her daughter Deborah Touchet of Maurice; her son Mark Hornsby of Bossier City; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family thanks the nurses and staff of Eastridge Nursing Center in Abbeville and Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, for their care and support of Marie.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Affiliated Blind of Louisiana, 409 West St. Mary Blvd., Lafayette, LA 70506 or to a charity of choice.
