LAFOURCHE – Texting while driving is a dangerous practice, but on a motorcycle, at more than 100 miles per hour?

According to State Police, that’s exactly what Dylan Fournier, 20, of Raceland was doing.

They say he was clocked going 101 in a 55 zone on La. 308 in Thibodaux.

Fournier refused to stop and began passing other vehicles in no-passing zones, causing vehicles to take evasive action too avoid collision.

Continuing to operate at a high rate of speed, Fournier began texting while driving in a reckless manner until he pulled over and surrendered.

Fournier was arrested by State Police for the following traffic offenses: Speeding (101 mph in a 55 mph zone), Aggravated Flight from an Officer, Reckless Operation, and Texting While Driving. Fournier was transported and booked at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux.
