THIBODAUX – Both the boys and girls tennis teams of Notre Dame are playing from behind after first day action in the Division III, Region II tournament being held in Nicholls State University in Thibodaux.

On the boys’ side, Parkview Baptist holds a narrow 13-12 lead over Notre Dame. The Pios currently sit in second place overall after winning two quarterfinal doubles matches, advancing both teams. They however lost both of the quarterfinal singles matches.

The girls also sit in second place, but have a deeper margin to come back from as E.D. White holds first place by a four point margin.

Notre Dame picked up a singles win and loss as well as a doubles win and loss during Tuesday’s action. The Lady Pioneers advanced three total girls.
