Former DA, judge

VILLE PLATTE – Services were April 26 for former District Judge and District Attorney L.O. Fusilier. He died April 23 at age 84.

After graduation for LSU Law School he formed a partnershop with Albert Tate, who later became a State Supreme Court justice.

At age 27 Fusilier was elected DA, a post he held 18 years before being elected district judge.

Survivors include three sons and three daughters.

Title-winning coach

BATON ROUGE – Services will be Friday in Alexandria for former coach and businessman Earl Bourgeois.

He coached South Lafourche High in Galliano, winning state championships twice in the 1970s.

Survivors include his wife Marilyn and two daughters.

Arrangements are by Riser of Jena.
