Rayne - Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Friday, April 29, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. for Sadie Mae Menard, 79 who died Thursday, April 28, 2011.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2.

Surviving are daughter, Mary Leger and husband Ricky of Rayne, son, Wayne Menard and wife Becky of Rayne, daughter, Shirley Menard of Natchitoches, grandchildren, April ODonohue and husband Scott of Lake Charles, Jody Menard and wife Carissa of Rayne, Jamie Royer and husband Shannon of Mire, Jason Meshell of Natchitoches and Kevin Meshell of Zwolle, great-grandchildren, Savanah ODonohue, Trent Mouton, Madeline Weber, Nyles Menard, Jacie Richard, Lukas Meche, and Dondie, Abbie and Bailee Royer, step sisters, Linda Credeur, Georgie Boudreaux and JoAnn Boudreaux.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leodice Menard, Jr., her parents August and Eugnie Trahan Boudreaux, brother Lenise Boudreaux, and one grandson Chad Meshell.

She was born Friday, February 12, 1932 in Rayne, LA, Daughter of the late August Boudreaux and the late Eugnie Trahan.

She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and the Third Order of the Lay Carmelites. She enjoyed making rosarys and was very active in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Sadie enjoyed her last years being very involved at Rayne Guest Home. She was LNHA Region III Queen and also was reigning state Queen.

Friends will be received 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Thursday, April 28 and 8:00 A.M. until Service Friday April 29, 2011 at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA.
