RUSTON – Services are pending for long-time Louisiana Tech President F. Jay Taylor. He died Sunday, May 14 at age 87.
Taylor was was president of the university from 1962 until 1987.
He was a U.S. Navy aviator in World War II and a historian by education.
During his 25 years at the helm, the university's major sports complexes and its library-administration building were constructed.
Survivors include his wife Lou.
Kilpatrick is in charge of arrangements.
