VILLE PLATTE – A woman who allegedly tipped the shooter to the target and a man who allegedly was the get-away driver have been charged in connection with a nail salon robbery and murder.

And the alleged killer in that case has been identified as the alleged shooter in an earlier armed robbery.

Denzel Frank, 21, 1035 Clifton Ave., is charged as an accomplice in the May 6 mayhem at the T.A.T. Nail Salon.

He was also charged with two counts of possession of an illegal weapon.

Evangeline DA Trent Brignac and Police Chief Neal Lartigue said Frank was the getaway driver in the armed robbery allegedly committed by Dannie Lafleur, who was arrested earlier in the week.

It is anticipated Frank will also be charged for his association with the armed robbery of the Can Man on Main Street, which occurred March 25. Frank’s bond has been set at $500,000.

Jeannie Fontenot, 40, 1206 Peach St., was charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery in connection with the nail salon robbery.

Brignac and Lartigue said Fontenot was a patron of the nail salon earlier during the day of the robbery and shooting. Her observations, according to authorities led, in part, to the robbery later that evening.

Also in custody is Javis Jacoby Gallow, 19, 1209 Peach St.

Gallow will be charged in connection with the armed robbery of the Can Man and several residential burglaries, many of which involved the theft of copper from uninhabited houses or vacant buildings.

Lafleur, who was arrested for the shooting of Tuc Do, the nail salon owner, has also been identified as the shooting suspect in the armed robbery on April 8, of the E.V.N. Market located at 307 East Lincoln Road, formerly Dalbis’ Meat Market.
