CROWLEY –– A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2011 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Imae Marie Caswell “Mae Mae” Seilhan, 84, who died May 20, 2011 at Crowley American Legion Hospital.

Fr. Jared Suire associate pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Sunday from 9 a.m. to the time of service. Sr. Justina Baker will lead a rosary at 11 a.m. Sunday at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum.

Mrs. Seilhan is survived by four daughters, Sondra Seilhan Myers and her husband, Tola of Crowley; Laura Seilhan Thomas and her husband, Louie of Rayne, Mona Seilhan Dore and her husband, Al of Crowley, and Polly Seilhan Stouse and her husband, Maurice of Littleton, CO; two sisters, Beatrice Doucet of Iota, and Elrine Belfour of Eunice, two brothers, Viell and Elvin Caswell both of Eunice; twenty grandchildren, Tracy Wirtz and her husband, Kevin, John Eric Thomas and his wife Karla; Scott Thomas, Laurie Suire and her husband, Jeremy, Alicia Francis and her husband Bryan, Amy Dore, Kurk Thomas and his wife, Brooke, Alex Dore and his wife, Nicole, Nicholas Myers and his wife, Stephanie, Louis Mark Thomas, II and his wife, Noelle, Milton Matthew Thomas and his wife, Desiree, Joshua Myers and his wife, Hope, Jacob Myers and his wife, Lauren, Aaron Dore and his wife, Lauren, Staff Sgt. David Myers and his wife, Staff Sgt. Robin, Christopher Myers, Katie Stouse, Rebecca Imae Stouse, Ginny Stouse, and Emily Stouse; thirty-two great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Milton Francis Seilhan; her parents, Elice and Loricia Betrand Caswell; and three sisters, Eve Caswell, Mary Ena Strodered, and Lily Young.

The pallbearers are her grandsons, Alex and Aaron Dore, Mark and Matt Thomas, and Joshua and Jacob Myers.

Honorary pallbearers are her grandsons, Eric and Scott Thomas, and her Godsons, Elson Stroderd, Jr., and Jay Caswell.

The musicians will be three grandsons, Nick Myers who has released two CD’s, Chris, and David Myers. Musical selection include “Holy Ground,” “Gentle Woman,” “Calling in the Distance” which was written and recorded by Nick, and “How Great Thou Art.”

Gift bearers will be Emily Stouse, Kurk Thomas, and Alicia Francis. Readers will be Katie and Rebecca Stouse. Eucharistic ministers will be Tracy Wirtz, Amy Dore, and Laurie Suire. Altar servers will be Morgan Thomas, Ethan Myers, Cason Dore, and Bryan Francis, Jr. A eulogy will be given by her daughter, Polly Stouse. Intentions will be offered by Ginny Stouse.

Our sincere thanks go out to the American Legion Hospital staff in the ER including Dr. Sanders and third floor nursing staff of the hospital. We’d also like to give a special thanks to Dr. Dale Leleux, Dr. Mark Dawson, and Southern Care Hospice. We thank friends and family for their support during this time as well as one final thanks to Evette Trahan for being an unwavering and loyal caretaker and companion during the last 6 months of Imae’s life on this earth.
