RAYNE - Michael Jude Ronkartz of Mowata and Claire Marie Trahan of Rayne announce their engagement and intent to marry on June 17, 2011.

The Reverand Charles McMillin will officiate the nuptial mass at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne.

Claire is the daughter of John and Denise Trahan of Rayne. Her grandparents are Judge Denald and Claire Beslin and the late Maxie and Marie Trahan.

The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish and a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is presently a student at LSU Health Sciences Center at New Orleans.

Michael is the son of Greg and Diana Ronkartz of Mowata. His grandparents are Christina Hornsby and the late Everd Simon Hornsby and Jerome and JoAnn Ronkartz.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is employed as a civil engineer with the Louisiana Department of Transportation.
