Rayne - Funeral services will be held at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. for Russell Wayne Freeman, Sr., 71 who died Sunday, May 29, 2011 in Lafayette General Medical Center Hospital in Lafayette, LA.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA.

Surviving are his wife, Gladys Navarre Freeman of Rayne, four sons, Russell W. Freeman, Jr. of Rayne, John D. Freeman of Rayne, Cecil Freeman of Rayne, Ronald Freeman of Rayne, thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two brothers, Edgar Freeman, Willard Freeman, three sisters, Sondra Freeman, Jean Freeeman, Sue Freeman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Freeman and Cleo Faulk Freeman.

He was born Monday, August 7, 1939 in East Bernstadt, KY, son of the late Cecil Freeman and the late Cleo Faulk Freeman.

Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until services time Wednesday, June 1, 2011.
