Rayne - Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. for LeeBirdie Meche Cary, 76 who died Monday, May 30, 2011 at her residence in Rayne, LA.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA.

Surviving are one daughter, Pam Cary Guidry and husband Johnny of Rayne, one son, Darrel Cary and wife Jan of Rayne, seven grandchildren, Jade Guidry Meche, Kaine Guidry, Coy Guidry, Quinn Guidry, Lexx Guidry, Mia Guidry, Blake Cary, all of Rayne four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Blake Cary and Wayland Cary, parents, Terrance and Octavia Cormier Meche, five brothers, Delphe Meche, Delpha Meche, Eric Meche, Aneche Meche and Dudley Meche, two sisters, Lena Meche Lantier and Edese Meche Baudoin.

She was born Saturday, August 4, 1934 in Mire, LA, Daughter of the late Terrance Meche and the late Octavia Cormier Meche.

Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m..
