WESTWEGO – Former Notre Dame and current UL-Monroe golf standout Ali Lucas is making waves at the 2011 Louisiana Women’s Golf Association Championships at the TPC of Louisiana.

Lucas, who will be a sophomore at ULM next year, placed third in the qualifying round on Sunday by shooting a 75 before beating Oakdale’s Paula Karam Monday, 6 and 5 (six holes up with five to play).
