Marlon and Mindy Leger of Rayne are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ashley Nicole, to Tyler Blake Primeaux, son of Alcide and Paulette Primeaux, also of Rayne.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Carroll and Louise Thibodeaux of Rayne and the late Earl and Theresa Leger. She is a 2006 graduate of Rayne High School and will attain a degree in early childhood education in May of 2012 from UL-Lafayette.

The prospective groom’s grandparents are Earl and Janelle Meche of Maurice and the late Ennis and Pearly Primeaux of Lyons Point. He is a 2006 graduate of Rayne High School and is employed by Monster Construction.

The couple will be united in marriage during a 6:30 p.m. wedding ceremony on Friday, August 5, 2011, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, followed by a reception at The Crossing at Mervine Kahn in Rayne.
