Beginning Wednesday, August 24, 2011, I-10 in Lafayette and St. Martin Parish will be reduced to one lane nightly for a moving operation in the eastbound and westbound directions.

The work will take place from the I-49 interchange to the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge between the hours of 7:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

The work is scheduled to last for 3 weeks, with the exception of Labor Day weekend (Sept. 2-5), weather permitting.

This closure is necessary for the replacement of pavement markings, according to DOTD.
