St. Landry deputies on Thursday arrested Willie J. Reynolds, 22, of Opelousas and applied for an arrest warant for Patrick Johnson, 32, also of Opelousas.
On Aug. 13, a postal worker making a delivery in Lawtell was confronted by two men wearing maskes and brandishing small-caliber handguns.
The suspects were demanding the victim give them a bag. One of the suspects then, grabbed the victim by the neck, choking him and the other hit him in the chest.
The suspects then grabbed a lock bag the victim had in his possession and fled on foot. According to witnesses, the suspects were then picked up by a white van.
An anonymous tip about the van led to Reynolds' arrest. He is charged with armed robbery.
Charges facing Johnson include armed robbery, simple battery and theft.
