On Friday, Oct. 28, a day of stories, movies, treats and much more will occur at the Acadia Parish Library, located at 1125 North Parkerson Ave. in Crowley.
“This is the first time we’re going to try this,” said Bernie Sarver, a librarian at the Crowley library. “We’ve had parents asking us if we had any special programs coming up for kids that aren’t in school yet so we thought we’d give this a try.”
Sarver also said that if this event goes well the library may do similar events in the future
First, at 10 a.m., toddlers (ages birth to four) are encouraged to participate in a costume contest and Halloween stories. There will be prizes and treats awarded.
Secondly, at 3:30 p.m., the library will be showing “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” in its meeting room. Everyone is welcome to come enjoy the movie.
“I think it’s going to be a lot of fun and we’re looking forward to it as well,” said Sarver.
The library staff invites all to come out for a fun-filled Friday at the library.
