Lucas, a sophomore, continued her solid play through the end of the fall season with two top-10 finishes, including a career-low second place finish at the Blue Raider Invitational. The Crowley native, fired a career-best and season-low 54-hole total of 221 which included rounds of even-par 72 and 73 to finish runner-up at the Blue Raider Invitational.
Lucas then finished in a tie for eighth at the rain-shortened LPGA Xavier Invitational with a three-over-par 75. She is averaging 75.78 strokes per round through nine rounds, which ranks eighth in the Sun Belt for less than 10 rounds played. Lucas becomes the second consecutive Women’s Golfer of the Month as ULM’s Jennifer Park earned the honor in October.
Noto, a senior from Luling, La., won the David Toms Intercollegiate by four strokes, posting a 54-hole score of 208 (-8) for his first-ever individual championship. The tournament only had five total golfers finish under par. Noto entered the final round four strokes off the lead and fired a final day 68 (-4) to win the title. Noto led ULL to a fifth-place team finish in the event.
Noto and fellow Ragin’ Cajun senior, Philipp Fendt, lead the SBC in scoring average. Noto has a 71.75 average through 12 rounds played while Fendt has a 71.92 average.
