Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley will be the setting on Saturday, May 5, 2012, for a 7 p.m. Nuptial Mass uniting Alyson Christine Hensgens of Eunice and Steven Eric Stewart of Rayne in marriage. A reception will follow at The Grand Opera House of the South in Crowley.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Susan Williamson Ray of Jennings and Richard Hensgens of Lake Arthur. Her grandparents are Cora Williamson of Eunice, the late Coolidge Williamson, and the late Nicholas and Doris Hensgens of Crowley.

She is a graduate of St. Edmund High School in Eunice and McNeese State University in Lake Charles where she attained a bachelor of science degree in mass communications with a concentration in public relations.

The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Stewart of Rayne. His grandparents are Milton and Freida Stewart of Lake Charles, and the late Clevens and Sylvia Belaire of Loreauville.

He is a graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish in Crowley and Louisiana State University with a bachelor of science degree in nursing.

Following their wedding, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
