Montoucet, Chamber to host trade briefing

CROWLEY - On Thursday, February 16 at the LSU AgCenter in Crowley, an international trade briefing will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Le Centre International, the international division of the Lafayettte city/parish government and Acadiana Economic Development will be putting on an international trade briefing.

The briefing is a result of the recent accord of cooperation of a coalition of 12 parishes of southwest Louisiana signed in 2011.

The international trade briefing will present:

- The various services presented by that are offered to local companies to develop their exporting business.

- A presentation on search engine optimization, internationalization of a website and social media marketing.

- Comments from businesses about doing business globally.

The event is free of charge and is being brought to the LSU AgCenter by Representative Jack Montoucet and the Crowley and Rayne Chamber of Commerce.

“We’re doing several different briefings in the twelve parishes,” said Vanessa D’aquin of Le Centre International. “We’d like to help to develop business relationships with area businesses who wish to expand to overseas markets.”
