Wolves, Ladies Hit Playoffs Road

Both the Wolves and Lady Wolves of Rayne High School will hit the road for the first round of the 2012 state 3-A basketball playoffs.

The #31-ranked Lady Wolves will travel to #2-ranked Albany Monday for a 7 p.m. contest. The Lady Wolves finished their district slate at 6-4, while Albany completed their regular season at 27-3 and 9-1 in district.

THe Wolves, also ranked at 31 in the boy's bracket, will meet #2-ranked Richwood from the Monroe area. The Wolves finished their district at an 8-2 tie with Northwest, while Richwood enters the playoffs with an 8-0 district slate.

The Wolves will travel to Richwood on Tuesday where they will take to the court at 7 p.m
