Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Rayne will be the setting on Friday, April 20, 2012, for a seven o’clock evening wedding ceremony uniting Amanda Claire Mire of Mire and Mickey Paul Miller of Mermentau Cove in marriage. A reception will follow at Union Hall in Rayne.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Randal and Cindy Bergeron Mire of Mire. Her grandparents are Ferdie Bergeron of Rayne, the late Elma Bergeron, and Donald and Bulsy Mire of Mire. She is a 2009 graduate of Rayne High School and is attending The University of Louisiana at Lafayette majoring in business management.

The prospective groom is the son of Pravate MIler of Grand Chenier and Phyllis Ritter LaFleur and Jean Baptiste LaFleur, III of Ville Platte. His grandparents are the late Henry and Bonnie Ritter of Ville Platte and the late Clyde and Audrey MIler of Grand Chenier. He is a 2005 graduate of Midland High School and is employed by the La. Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.

Following their wedding, the couple plans to make their home in Mire.
