Survivors include his mother, Ella Mae (Hebert) Bertrand of Westlake; his wife, Carolyn (Briscoe) Bertrand of Branch; his mother-in-law, Lela Briscoe of Branch; a son, Damian Bertrand and wife Kateri of Branch; three daughters, Tiffany Wasson and husband Rob of Moss Bluff, Amanda Guidry and husband Jerry of Branch and Kimberly Artall and husband Joseph of Crowley; a brother, Ronald Bertrand of Westlake; and seven grandchildren, Ty, Emma and Blaise Guidry, Drake, Drewe and Kassidee Bertrand and Ella Grace Artall.
He was preceded in death by his father, Heard Bertrand; and a brother, Bob Bertrand.
At the family’s request, visiting hours began 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 29 and will continue uninterrupted until the time of the services Thursday. A recitation of the Rosary was held at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday by Deacon Bryne Winn.
Mr. Bertrand was a loving son and brother, husband and father, grandfather and best friend; his family and grandkids were his life.. Blessed with a very generous nature and loving to cook, entertain and be with his family and friends, he never met a stranger.
