Granddaughter of Eno Romero, Sr. and Daisy Darby of Erath, the bride is a 2007 graduate of Erath High School, 2011 graduate from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in secondary social studies education, and is employed by the Acadia Parish School Board as a teacher at Rayne High School.
The groom is the son of John Derwin and Michelle Guidry David of Rayne. His grandparents are the late John L.P. David of Church Point, Neldine Venable David of Church Point, and Mr. and Mrs. James B. Guidry of Rayne. He is a 2004 graduate of Rayne High School and is employed by Champion Technologies as an account representative.
For the Mass, Scriptures were recited by Lisa David and Theresa Seymour. Gits were offered by Angela Romero, godmother of the bride, and Janita Bajjani, godmother of the groom.
Against musical selections provided by Mark and Kristin Dunbar and Jason Pennington, guests were ushered to their seats by Mikey Seymour, cousin of the bride, and cousins of the groom, Jordan Benoit, Joshua Benoit and Thomas David.
For her wedding day, the bride wore a white, strapless tulle ballgown designed with a satin bodice accented with intricate beaded metallic embroidery and an elegant lace-up backside. The full skirt was completed with a chapel-length train. The bride also wore a fingertip veil of sheer illusion embellished with beading and sequin details along the hemline.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was Tracy Matt David, cousin-in-law of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Hillary David, sister of the groom; Robin Romero Hebert, aunt of the bride; Jennifer Leger Daigle and Monique Guidry Cormier, friends of the couple; Christa Cormier Guidry, aunt of the groom; and Danielle Foreman, Chesie Bernard and Brittney Suire, friends of the bride.
Bridal attendants each wore a watermelon-colored, elegant one-shoulder satin ballgown accented with on-trend fan detail for added drama.
Serving as flower girls were Emily Daigle and Allie Daigle, friends of the couple.
Attending the groom as his best man was his cousin, Tyler John David.
Groomsmen were Brandon Guidry, cousin of the groom; Shane LeBlanc, brother of the bride; Todd Daigle and Chad Cormier, friends of the couple; Chris Guidry, uncle of the groom; and Chris Richard, Lance Guidry and Landon Fusilier, friends of the groom.
Junior groomsman was Dayne John David, son of the groom, and ring bearers were Chase Guidry, cousin of the groom, and Evan Cormier, friend of the couple.
For the wedding, the groom’s mother, Michelle Guidry David wore a two-piece, taupe-colored jade couture dress knee in length with a scooped neckline and thin straps. The matching jacket featured three-quarter-length sleeves that flared at the elbow and a rhinestone broach closure. The skirt was designed with pleats throughout while the waist was adorned with a belt fully embellished with beads and jewels.
Immediately following the wedding, a reception was held in the honor of the newlyweds at Fezzo’s III Reception and Banquet Hall in Scott.
Following a wedding trip to Ochos Rio, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Scott.
