Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. for Laurice Pierre Bearb, 76, who died Monday, April 23, 2012, in Lafayette.

Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne.

Surviving are his wife, Wilma Bellard Bearb; one daughter, Brenda Bearb and husband, Allen Faul, of Rayne; four sons, David Bearb and wife, Cathrine, of Rayne; Donald Bearb and wife, Marlene, of Lafayette; Larry J. Bearb and wife, Denise R., of Crowley and Barry Bearb and wife, Emedia, of Holden; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Godeaux of Sunset; and one brother, Preston Bearb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Zephrin and Ezola Bearb; one daughter, Cynthia A. Bearb Leger; two sisters, Emma B. Bourque and Noamie B. Deranger; one brother, Osten Bearb; and his father and mother in-law. Walter and Alice Bellard.

He was born Saturday, December 7, 1935, in Lawtell, son of the late Zephrin Bearb and the late Ezola Hebert Bearb.

Friends were received 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, until 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne.
