MERMENTAU COVE - James Bruce Armentor Jr. of Iowa has chosen Morgan Jade Istre of Mermantau to be his bride.

The couple has announced their plans for an evening wedding on June 2, 2012 at Our Lady Help of Christians in Jennings. Father McMillin will officiate the ceremony.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Kenneth and Becky Istre of Mermantau. She is the granddaughter of Betty Hargrave of Estherwood and the late Jess Willard Fair, the late Amar Hargrave and the late Charles and Beatrice Istre.

Morgan is a 2005 graduate of Midland High School and a 2009 Magna Cum Laude graduate of McNeese State University with a Bachelor of Science in early childhood education. She is currently employed by the Acadia Parish School Board.

The prospective groom is the son of Jimmy and Stephanie Armentor of Iowa and Stephen and Donna Griggs of Palm Desert, Calif. He is the grandson of Agnes Armentor of Iowa and the late Curtis Armentor and Monroe and Doris Frazier of Brandon, Miss.

James is a 2001 graduate of Iowa High School and a 2005 graduate of Delta School of Business and Technology. He is presently employed by Capitol Manufacturing.

After their wedding, Morgan and James plan to reside in Mermentau Cove.
