Rayne—Funeral services for Joyce Marie Champagne Trahan, 76, will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in Duhon Funeral Home Chapel, Rayne, LA. Father Kendall Faulk will officiate.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 9:00 A.M. until service time in Duhon Funeral Home, Rayne, LA.

Ms. Trahan passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012 in a Lafayette hospital.

A native of New Iberia, Ms. Trahan was a longtime resident of the Rayne/Duson area. She was a bowling enthusiast, having bowled in leagues and tournaments in many places. She played the scrub board, and has appeared on stage with Rockin’ Dopsie, as well as entertaining in nursing homes. Ms. Trahan enjoyed cooking for her friends and family.

Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Dabbs of Eunice, Janice Faul and husband, John Wayne Faul of Granbury, TX, and Lorita Falcon and husband, Tony Falcon of Mire; grandchildren, Chantel, Charles, Danielle, Casey, Rachel, and Garret; great-grandchildren, Taylon, Addlyn, Addison, Chelsey, Kailey, and Demi, and one great-grandchild on the way.

Proceeding Ms. Trahan in death were her parents, Ovey and Lorita Simar Champagne; and two brothers.
