OPELOUSAS – An Opelousas man is accused of snatching a woman pedestrian in and taking her to a remote area where he raped her while threatening her life with an ax.

Police said the victim indicated she was walking in the city limits of Opelousas around 3:00 a.m. when a man chased her on foot and forced her into his truck. She says he drove her outside the city limits, forced her to have sexual intercourse with him without her consent, while threatening her with an ax.

She picked 35-year-old Chonquaro Green out of a photo lineup. He's facing a charge of aggravated rape.
