RAYNE - On Friday, July 27, 2012, the City of Rayne Police Department arrested Tammy Howe, Jody Dufrene, Jody Dufrene II, Joshua Dufrene and Alicia Dawsey, all of who reside in the 1000 block of The Blvd, Rayne LA. Cinda LaGrange of the 300 block of Kathy Drive, Rayne LA was arrested on Monday, July 30, 2012. All subjects were charged with Forgery and Distribution of a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance.

Chief Carroll Stelly advised that the case originated in Lafayette with Metro Narcotics becoming aware of Misty Brandenburg who worked in a physician’s office and was stealing prescription pads. The above individuals conspired with Brandenburg to illegally obtain Hydrocodone, Alprazolam and Carisoprodol tablets. The investigation concluded that 3,370 tablets of the above medication was put on the street with a value of $37,300.

Currently Misty Brandenburg and Dwayne Lavergne are at large and wanted by law enforcement for their participation in this case.
