CHS football fundraiser set for Thursday

CROWLEY - With the 2012 prep football season rapidly approaching, Crowley High will host its second and final fundraiser of the year when they hold a dinner/auction at the Rice Festival Building .

The event, scheduled for Aug. 9, will kick off at 6 p.m. with a social hour. During that time, attendees will have the opportunity to take part in a silent auction before a meal is served around 7. The live auction will begin at roughly 8 o’clock.

Bidders in the live auction will have the opportunity to get their hands on items that range from fishing rods to guided hunting trips as well as a weekend at Fontenot’s camp in Ville Platte where the high bidder will have the Gents’ skipper on hand as their private chef.

All proceeds from the event will go to the CHS football program.

Admission for the event is $20 per person and tickets can be purchased at Rice City Designs, Park Street Fast Lube or at Crowley High School.
