KROTZ SPRINGS – A man whose vehicle was disabled was killed as he stood beside it along US 190 Sunday night.

Ronald Burleigh, 72, was standing outside his disabled tractor tailer when hit by a vehicle that had just been involved in crash on the highway.

State Police said Frank Greene, 31, of Pineville was driving west when he changed lanes and struck a vehicle driven by Morgan Allain, 20, of Plaquemine.

Greene’s pickup careened off the road and hit the disabled vehicle, then struck Burleigh.

Investigation continues.
