Rayne—A Mass of Christian Burial for John Wilson Key, 84, of Rayne will be celebrated on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. in Duhon Funeral Home Chapel. Father Kendal Faulk will serve as celebrant. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery #2 in Rayne.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home, with a rosary being recited at 10:00 A.M.

Mr. Key passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2012 in a Crowley hospital.

A native and lifelong resident of the Lafayette/Rayne area, Mr. Key retired after many years as a farm laborer. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include his son, John A. Key of Rayne; sisters, Mable Key of Lafayette, and Rosa Verrett of Ohio; and many other friends and relatives.

Preceding Mr. Key in death were his wife, Helen Jolivet Key; parents, Jimmie and Lydia Pradia Key; sister, Esther Labbe; and brothers, Jimmie Key, Wallace Key, Watson Key, and Thomas Roy Key.
