CROWLEY - Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Jerusalem Baptist Church, with Pastor Sherard M. Joseph, officiating for Eva Washington Bias, 81, who entered eternal rest on Monday, September 10, 2012, at American Legion Hospital in Crowley.

Viewing services will be Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 8 a.m. until time of services at Jerusalem Baptist Church at 927 West 7th Street, Crowley.

Interment will be in the West Crowley Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memory, six daughters, Nora L. Allen (Johnny) of Port Arthur, Texas. Mona Guidry, Jeanetta Bias (Troy), Aisha Ali (Hakeem), all of Crowley, Cynthia Miles (Amos Jr.) of Houston, Texas and Charlotte Fails (Bernie) of Canton, Mi.; one son, Kelvin Bias (Bobbie) of Houston, Texas; one sister, Shirley Joseph of Crowley; one brother William Angel of Houston, Texas; four sister-in-laws, Leaze Lewis, Nettie Bias, Norma Washington, and Rose Angel all of Crowley; two brother-in-laws, Otis Bias Sr. and Rufus Bias Sr. both of Crowley; five daughter-in-laws, Celina Bias and Wilma Bias both of Crowley, Ollie Bias, Debra Bias and Linda Bias all of Houston, Texas; one godson, Kirk Nixon of Galveston, Texas, and special friends, Jessie Thibodeaux, Lucile Harmon, Deena Harmon, Mary Soulliare, Cathy Webster, Anna Belle Francis and Nancy Milson all of Crowley. She also leaves 52 grandchildren, 98 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Bias, Sr.; her mother Lassie Washington Angel, her sons, Walter Bias Jr., Thomas Bias, Edmond Bias, Donald Bias, Kenneth Bias Sr. and Karlos Bias; seven brothers, Charles Washington Sr., Wesley Washington, Donald Angel, Junius Moses, Adam Washington, Nathan Washington and Leron Angel; three sisters, Gertie Moses, Emma Bernard and Gertrude Byers, one sister-in-law, Marie Perkins, and one daughter-in-law, Ada Bias.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Satinder Saini, Dr. Joshua Mammen, the staffs of American Legion Hospital (Trilis, Erica & Cecilia) and Camelot Place Nursing Home, granddaughter, Erica Bias and Courtney Decquir.

Final arrangements were entrusted to Wilturner Funeral Home of Crowley.
