Agronomy professor

BATON ROUGE – Services for retired LSU professor of agronomy Clifford Mondart, Jr. were Saturday. He died Sept. 20 at age 88.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War and held the Bronze Star. He taught at LSU for almost 40 years.

Survivors include three daughters.

Preservationist

LAFAYETTE – Services for preservationist Joseph Chargois, Jr. will be Saturday. He died Sept. 24 at age 88.

He was a member of an early Lafayette family and was former president of the Lafayette Preservation Commission and the Preservation Alliance of Lafayette. He was on the board of the LA Trust for Historical Preservation for six years.
