Authorities alleged that Jeffery Reynolds, 31, cut a fetus from his wife, 28, and stabbed it in the head.
He is charged with first-degree feticide and attempted second-degree murder.
People at the scene reportedly said they overheard Reynolds talking about ingesting bath salts, an illegal synthetic drug.
