Funeral Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Jimmie Monceaux, 78, who passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012, at his home in Crowley at 4:16 p.m.

Fr. Jarrod Suire, associate pastor of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Crowley, officiated for the services.

The family requested visiting hours be held Tuesday, October 30, 2012, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.  A Rosary was recited at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening in the funeral home chapel in Crowley.  Visitation continued on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. until the time of the services. 

Interment was in the Acadia Resthaven Cemetery in Crowley.

Mr. Jimmie was born in Crowley, to Clormar and Honora Meaux Monceaux.

He is survived by his wife, Elvina D. Monceaux of Crowley; two sons, Browkller and wife, Samantha, Deshotel of Iota and Mahatma Monceaux of Crowley; one grand-daughter, Angel Deshotel of Iota; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Clormar and Honora M. Monceaux; two brothers, Otto and wife, Antoinette Monceaux, J.C. and wife, Dela Monceaux; two sisters, Agnes and husband, Woodrow Miracle, and Ina M. and husband, Joseph Kibodeaux.
